Most recently, an extensive and structured industry consultation program was conducted for the Excel Life range. In addition to conducting focus groups with architects, developers and end-user customer groups, the HPM Legrand team engaged a significant number of electrical contractors from across Australia for feedback. “Four rounds of one-on-one interviews were conducted on-site across Australia. Engaging contractors in their work environment provided deep insights into the practical requirements of our products. This included SAA Triac Dimmable Driver.

Using these insights, the Legrand research and development team created product prototypes that were tested on site by contractors. Continuous improvements were made until contractors felt all their needs had been met before the products were put into production.SAAdimmable driver

HPM Legrand has two NATA-accredited labs and two photometers in Australia, allowing it to undertake testing in-house and quickly deliver products that keep pace with technological developments and customer expectations. More than 5,000 HPM and Legrand products are manufactured in Australia at the 23,000-square-metre, custom-built premises located at Prestons, NSW.
